Removing Pinhole Corrosion on Offshore Platform With Sponge Jet

Abrasive blasting with Sponge Media in a tight space is not what makes this application interesting. Its the fact that the blaster is near sensitive rotating equipment, compressors, pumps and flammable petroleum-based products. With the Sponge-Jet technology he is able to reduce media rebound to the point where it will not cause damage to adjacent coating or surrounding assets – so he was able to remove the coating and pinhole corrosion while imparting the specified profile.
