How to break down corrosion through coolant paths?
Is it possible to fulsh my coolant plumbing with something that can remove the corrosion buildup through the coolant passageways or should i just flush with water the best it can
Ok i have gotten brand new thermostat, and hoses a week ago, so im ok there, and ill look up how to "burp" the system
Your local auto store will sell a radiator flush kit. The kit is about $15 and the solvent is $5. The solvent is slightly acidic breaking down the mineral build up. You also need to pickup a couple gallons of distilled water. Do Not use tap water. Tap water is what’s causing the build up because tap has minerals. Also research online how to properly "burp" the coolant system. Once you drain the coolant syst air WILL get into the system, which can cause heating problems if not "burped" properly. Would be a good time to replace the thermostat, hoses, and radiator cap if you have the dough.
