Installing a hitch to a truck with corrosion?

I have been reading that you shouldn’t attach a hitch to a vehicle with corrosion, but I was wondering if there was some way to reinforce it, or something. We need to move and attach a small uhaul trailer!

is it that bad to where the metal wont hold makes me wonder if it should be on the road at all.

If the tow vehicle is corroded to the point where it’s got you concerned, then I’d have a professional inspect it to make sure its safe to tow a trailer.

REplace the bumper with a stronger piece of steel
