    you can rip off …
    you can rip off both layers of cardboard so it doesn’t look weird from the other side, just hot glue down the insides of the corrugated parts on both sides.

    for rust on my chaos warriors (nurgle) wich is on there armor i first used rotting flesh.. then drybrushed a dwarven bronze.. then at the end i dd a reeally light drybrush of chaos black to give the dwarven bronze a darker less glimmering effect

    nice work:p, but taking a painted peace, of tank or terrain you can use some boltgun metal (Drybrush) and add some Gryphonne Sepia it looks good

    To be honest, though, I achieve a much better looking rust effect by first doing a basecoat of boltgun, then a chestnut ink wash, then a drybrush in boltgun, then finally a light drybrush in chainmail

    thats a cool effect and looks really easy to do , for my corrugated iron I have been using corrugated art card but will try your way now.

    I use some bits of sprue, glue one going up and down on the back, and then put another one horizontally only slightly at an angle at the bottom. Kinda like this… /_
