when i need to sleep i:

1.) pretend it is snowing (even in july)

2.) pretend i am mona the runaway, dying on a frostbitten lost strip of the woods.

3.) pretend i am neil, but neil before salvation, neil living as a vagrant, searching for shelter in abandoned shacks in north country england. with snow all over the place.

4.) think of the extraordinary large tin can shipping container homes like in that one finnish film ‘the man without a past’ , (i need to see this film again. the imagery, the blues like swaths of brightest oil paint that color the water and the upside down, rusted metal shacks that house faceless souls whose lives revolve around each other .. and why the is this film always referred to as a comedy?
